First of all let me say that I love to shop and am in no way wanting to put a dampener on what is a fantastic retail therapy experience, I’m just hoping to suggest a couple of baby bathing things which really aren’t worth bothering with. Secondly, I would say accept anything you are given for the baby along the lines of toys, high chairs, clothes etc – the chances are they will come in really handy. I completely get the desire for a new pram however, so won’t try and talk you out of that one, but would warn against second hand car seats and anything with a mattress: crib, cot, Moses basket etc as they are not a good idea from a health perspective.
