Pasta is great with a warming Bolognese or as a light, cold salad, and bread can be used for sandwiches and toasties, for breadcrumb toppings on hot meals and for yummy bread and butter pudding.

With all these family meal suggestions, make large portions and freeze where possible. Then you have meals for the family to last a few weeks and you can alternate, so you are not feeding your family the same thing every day.

When shopping for your very own fridge freezers, the most important thing that you need to consider is size. The freezer size will determine if it will be suited for your family or not. You may also want to take the space where you are going to place it into consideration. It should also be located near a power outlet and if you want a model that has a built-in ice maker, it also needs access to water line and water filter.

There are different types of fridge freezers. There is the traditional top-freezer which is the most common and least expensive. They also offer the most usable space than any other styles and they have wider shelves which are easy to access. Top-freezers cost less to repair and because they have door that open wide, it is easier to remove the shelves and clean them. The bottom-freezer, meanwhile, are built with the refrigerator on top.
